Can Both Guests and Providers Open Disputes?

Yes. Both Guests and Providers may be able to open disputes in the Resolution Center when there is a genuine booking-related issue that could not be resolved directly.

The Resolution Center is designed to provide a structured process for both sides of a reservation.

When a Guest may open a dispute

A Guest may wish to open a dispute when, for example:

  • there is a disagreement about a refund
  • the booking does not match what was expected
  • there is a reservation-related issue that could not be resolved directly
  • the Provider stops responding about a booking problem

When a Provider may open a dispute

A Provider may wish to open a dispute when, for example:

  • there is a disagreement related to the booking outcome
  • there is a reservation-related issue involving the Guest
  • there is damage, missing items, or a rule violation connected to the reservation
  • the issue could not be resolved directly through normal communication
