What if the Other Party Stops Responding?

If the other party stops responding after a dispute is opened, the dispute may still continue through the Resolution Center process.

Once a dispute is submitted, both parties have up to 5 days to communicate, bargain, exchange messages, and submit evidence. If one side becomes inactive during that period, LuxuStars may still review the dispute based on the information available.

During the first 5 days

During the initial 5-day resolution period, both parties are encouraged to:

  • respond within the dispute thread
  • explain their position clearly
  • submit any relevant evidence
  • try to reach a mutual resolution

If one party stops replying, the other party should still provide a clear explanation and upload any supporting evidence before the 5-day period ends.

What LuxuStars may do

If no agreement is reached within the 5-day period, LuxuStars will step in and review the dispute.

This may happen even if one party does not respond.

When reviewing the dispute, LuxuStars may consider:

  • the booking details
  • the platform messages available
  • the evidence submitted
  • the reservation timeline
  • the lack of response from one party
  • any relevant policy connected to the booking

Why it is important to keep responding

Responding on time helps ensure that your side of the dispute is fully documented.

If a party does not respond or does not provide enough supporting information, LuxuStars may make a final decision based on the records and evidence available at the time of review.

Important

A dispute may remain active for up to 12 days in total:

  • up to 5 days for both parties to try to resolve the issue directly
  • up to 7 additional days for LuxuStars to review the dispute and issue a final decision

For that reason, it is best to respond promptly and submit all relevant information as early as possible.
