When Can I Open a Dispute in the Resolution Center?

A dispute can be opened from the moment a reservation is confirmed until 14 days after the booking ends.

The exact end of the booking depends on the type of reservation. For example, this may be:

  • the checkout time for accommodations
  • the return time for vehicles or watercraft
  • the scheduled end time, delivery time, or completion time for other bookings, depending on the service

When the dispute window begins

The dispute window begins as soon as the reservation is confirmed on LuxuStars.

This means a Guest or Provider does not need to wait until the booking ends if a valid booking-related issue arises earlier and needs to be addressed.

When the dispute window ends

The dispute window stays open until 14 days after the booking has ended.

After that point, a new dispute can no longer be opened through the Resolution Center.

Why this time limit exists

This time limit helps ensure that disputes are raised while the booking details, communication, and supporting evidence are still recent and easier to review.

It also helps keep the Resolution Center process fair, clear, and time-bound for both parties.

Important

If you believe you may need to open a dispute, do not wait until the last moment.

Submitting your dispute earlier gives both parties more time to communicate, exchange evidence, and try to resolve the issue within the Resolution Center process.
